34:42:777N 07:20:.089W Finally managed to get through the Straits of
Gibraltar after enduring horrendous head on currents which sometimes reached
4kts. We slowed down to put sails up and ended up going backwards! Now we’ve
turned the corner and are a little way down the Moroccan coast and the winds are
on our tail but not strong enough to have the engine off. Hopefully the
promised stronger winds will come today. Had a few close encounters with
Moroccan fishing boats in the night but nothing too
serious! |
