Following the near-two year refit in the Yangon shipyard (including a new colour scheme and new engines), then a couple of months finishing off and shaking down in Phuket, El Oro is finally ready to cast off for the return to her homeland - the Mediterranean - via the 200th RYS Anniversary Celebrations in and around Cowes.
 
A few days stop in Singapore to pick up the ocean crew - Kent and I are now joined by Tim, Carol, Chris, Harry and Chooky - now waiting for that inevitable last minute engine part required, we'll cast off shortly from Raffles Marina, head south down the Durian Straight through the Riau Islands, across the bottom of the South China Sea, across the Java Sea through the Sunda Straight (with Krakatoa) before popping out into the Southern Indian Ocean and heading direct to South Africa ...
