SE 15-20 kn winds still with us as predicted so a fast beam reach towards Bali back around the 200 mile/day rate. Seas have increased slightly but mostly on the beam so hasn't made the ride uncomfortable. We expect to have these winds for the next 4 or 5 days which will put us in range of Bali - well that would be "in range" if we had any fuel to use! A nice coastal breeze off Java will be helpful for the closing stage, otherwise may be a quick pit-stop at Christmas Island for diesel and vegemite.

With our last big Bluefin Tuna finally finished after its final incarnation as Kay's special fishcakes for its 4th meal, the trusty lure was towed again with spectacular results. Ryan, firmly reestablishing himself as the Ship's Fisherman, reeled in a 15kg longbill Marlin which was almost as long as he his tall.

This deserved a celebratory nip, along with the crossing of the 4,000 miles from South Africa milestone a few hours later. Capt Morgan starting to look like it may need to be rationed as there are just too many milestones ahead.
