SE winds of 12-15 kn prevail and we continue making 220 miles per day on
a fast, smooth reach. Over the next 12 to 24 hours we are likely to
finally lose the trade winds that've propelled us over 2200 miles in the
last 10 days, from the edge of the Southern Ocean into the 28°
Equatorial waters.

Hard to pick amongst a run of so many ideal sailing days as to which is
the best, but yesterdays run in perfect weather, calm seas and never
dropping below 10 kn was probably the best of them. The previous sunset
certainly was the pick from the trip. It kept the cameras clicking for
30 minutes or more as the sky was painted and repainted with all known
shades from the red & blue sectors of the colour gamut. Unfortunately
the green flash continued to elude us though.

Passed our first fishing boat a few hours ago as we crossed the 400
miles to go mark. This was the first "contact" with the outside world
for many weeks.
Our routines of shipboard life continue, although due to change tomorrow
as we'll have only 2 days left to convert the yacht from a bus to a
hotel in preparation for standing upright and being tied to land.

With some break in routine and arrival tasks to do the next two days are
likely to pass very quickly...
