Well the Silver Slipper plans to leave La Coruna tomorrow, 18 September and head directly to Porto Santo. 5/6 days at sea but some good downwind sailing is promised. We have been in La Coruna for over two weeks now. Much longer than anticipated but we had to have a new alternator and then waiting for spare parts for the autopilot.
It’s also nice to see more ARC yachts. Everyone is making their way south and La Coruna has been the meeting point for many of us. In our two weeks here we have met 9 new yachts who are doing the ARC or ARC plus this year. Many new friends and we are all very excited.
I’d like to also thank Lorena who works in the office in Marina Coruna. She has been a star and deserves special recognition and thanks for making our stay so enjoyable even under the enforced circumstances.
Happy sailing.
The Silver Slipper crew.
