Hello to All,

Well, we finally arrived at Spanish Waters in Curacao after a very longs sail over just the 26 miles from the north of the island. The island bends the “wrong way” and allows both the wind and waves to curl round the south corner and up the coast. So what should have been a steady sail in the shelter of the island turned into a fairly heavy tack back and forth in lumpy seas. Took us all day to do the 26 miles.

However, we are here in the very sheltered natural harbour of Spanish Waters. Lots of other Cruisers here and we will head to “Happy Hour” at the bar soon and then out to dinner. We will go into town tomorrow and do our checking in at immigration/customs etc. I then need to do some research into firms here as we have a bit of work outstanding on the boat to arrange before we head back to the UK.

So, that concludes this year’s sailing season…. And also this blog for the time being. Will restart when next season.

Thanks you for reading this and I hope it wasn’t too boring.

Best Wishes,

John & Georgina
