Day 11 - Half Way!!!!!

Great Moment!!! We have finally reached the half
way point. 1,054 miles done with (only) another 1,053 to go.
We had a very enjoyable Christmas Dinner. Made
especially so when a squall hit just as we were about to serve up. So it was
everything on hold while all hands went on deck to reduce sail. Glad to say that
dinner was fine. We had Roast Chicken (pre cooked), stuffing, roast potatoes,
cabbage and carrots with gravy. Then we had Christmas Pudding (special
delivery by Olly) with brandy sauce. Bit of an effort in rolly conditions. (we
nearly lost the chicken at one point) but delicious and very enjoyable in
somewhat bizarre circumstances. Complement and a big well done to
the galley crew!!!
Currently sailing in very light winds again. We are
in another "hole" in the Trade Winds. The forecast is for the winds to pick up
once we get west of 45 deg W. So we will probably stick on the motor and burn
some of our precious diesel to punch past this.
