Everyone Fine! Weather is
warm and sunny
Last night saw some good winds and we sailed along
well, though in fairly rolly seas. Today the winds have gradually died down and
the seas have flattened to produce some very gentle sailing. We are currently
poodling along at about 4kts. This is forecast to continue for another day or
so.
Events:
- We were all startled by a mighty clatter
last night to find that Don had fallen out of his bunk. It seems he hadn't tied
his Lee Cloth properly. No injuries except his dignity. Knot Tieing
Lessons on agenda for today!
- Olly was on Watch when 2 flying fish landed on
the deck. He claims these as his first catch of the voyage. (Not sure that they
count though).
- Rigged sails for trade-wind sailing (2 Foresails
poled out on either side). A lot of "faff" getting them set up but they seem to
work in generating a steadier ride.
