To Staniel Cay, one of the few of the Exumas which houses a proper settlement. A chance to do some provisioning

The Pink Pearl - the main supermarket

and to rendezvous for dinner ashore with Yantina (who is also cruising north to Nassau) at the rather unprepossessing  Staniel Cay Yacht Club

No visit to Staniel Cay is complete without snorkelling through the Thunderball Grotto. This is a cave in a small  islet,  lit by the sun streaming through natural holes in the roof an housing an abundance of fish and which featured in a Bond movie of the same name.

The area is a National Park and  Nature Reserve in which fishing is prohibited. Which is probably a good thing because you never know what you might catch.  Off one beach - surprisingly called Pig Beach - feral pigs have learned to swim out and prospect for food from passing traffic.

But even these feral pigs get taken for a ride from time time:

As they say:  You should be careful what you fish for!
