........errrr, no they are not! Have you SEEN the weather forecast?

I retired in order to relax and enjoy myself. Well, the last few weeks have been anything but stress free. Oyster (the boat builder) has been really responsive, fixing what needs fixing whether self inflicted or otherwise. We have bought so much over the Internet that we are on 'first name terms' with the delivery drivers from FedEx and City-Link. And I have worn a furrow down the A3/M27 driving back and forth, loading trolley load after trolley load of kit on board (including eg 1200 tea bags, 40 bread mixes, oh!..... and a few beers!). The fascinating thing is there is room for more.

Simone has been a pillar of strength amidst all her other commitments and has suffered my many mood swings with alacrity. She has picked me up and dusted me down each time and now has delivered me to the boat and helped stow it. She's probably looking forward to some peace and quiet!

Alison has delivered Peter to the boat and Linda, Bob - they too have said their 'goodbyes'. We do have a few last minute niggles to iron out, but otherwise we are pretty much ship shape ready for it. Waiting in the Hamble for a customs man to stamp our form and for the weather to be kind.

Looks like a Saturday night departure at the moment. Meanwhile we sit and wait………
