We have had numerous sealions swimming around the boat since we arrived.
At night you can hear them playing under the boat, and the bubbles
bouncing off the hull. Its truly amazing.

We have been taking masses of photos - I think we have filled our card
twice now and we´ve only been here a couple of days! Ashore there are
loads of sealions lounging on the beach. They are just fascinating to
watch. Many have small ones at the moment, who just love to play in the
surf. We sit there for hours, mesmerised by them and the fun they are
having.

Today we took a tour of the island - just us and a driver. He spoke no
English which made it interesting. We went to see giant tortoises at one
place. I got to feed them and got really close. Of course Ems went mad
with the camera, so hopefully some turn out good. We also went to see
marine iguanas, which were cool and I´m not really a reptile kind of
guy! Some may describe me as a bit of a lounge lizard but thats about as
close as i get! Perhaps the piece de resistance of the whole day however,
was our stop at the ´largest tree house in the Galapagos´. You
have to admire their ingenuity when faced with some of the most amazing
wildlife in the world, this family built a tree house in a large tree. It
had a full working bathroom, with toilet and shower, as well as a
mezzanine floor with 2 beds. It further had a fridge and beer. It does not
get any better, and I must say I have a bit of a soft spot for treehouses!
I took lots of pictures, so you´ll be able to see it soon, in all its
glory! had it been here when Darwin was here, I´m sure he would have
stayed there. In fact I was fairly surprised not to see his name in the
Guest Book.

Anyway, Having fun still and trying to put off the hull painting.
Pretending that it will go away. Perhaps I could give a sealion a paint
brush and see what happens?

We go diving on Sunday, with talk of lots of sharks, perhaps hammerheads,
as well as Rays etc. Can not wait for that!!! Its going to be so cool.

Till the next time!

Lots of love

J and Ems xx
