It has been a while since I last did a blog, but we have not been idle.
We carried on the motion of packing up our house in Salisbury. We had a survey done on Stoney Down Cottage in Lychett Matravers near Poole in Dorset after our offer was excepted.
On the first of September we took the ferry to Holland to be there for Hans's 60th birthday party. We stayed with Mart and Linda for a few days. The party was a great success. After the weekend we drove to The Dordogne in France to spent a few days in Mart and Linda's house. It was a great time for us to relax and catch up on some admin. The weather was not great, but that did not matter. We took the Cherbourgh to Poole ferry on the 12th.
We had a buyer for Sea Topaz; the survey was arranged for the 14th September. That all went well, but unfortunately, the next day when we were due for a sea trial, the cable in the gear lever broke, so the sea trial had to be postponed and Duncan managed to repair the problem. The sea-trial when it happened was successful and Richard, the new owner moved on the boat on the 25th September.
We completed on the sale and buying of the house on September 29th, that was also the day we moved!!
We then had about 10 days to clean the cottage and unpack what we wanted. We are planning to build an extension and to modernise the cottage next year. We therefore bought a container to store most of our stuff.
On the 11th of October we were ready to fly to New Zealand. Unfortunately Malaysian Airlines though differently and our flight was delayed by 12 hrs. Which caused problems in Kuala Lumpur with the connecting flight... We eventually arrived in Auckland, where Ewan, our son, picked us up.
We stayed a few days with him and his family but are now in our own house. No time to relax though as major landscaping is going on.... No peace for the wicked!

I will have to do the photos later as I now have a new laptop with Windows 10 and have not worked out yet how to do the pictures.
