Our time in New Zealand is coming to an end; very sad, but it is time to pack up our little spot in paradise and go to Nepal.
We have really enjoyed our time here, although it has been hard work to get the house kitted out and furnished, as well as smartened up a bit. We also did a lot in the "garden" (it is too big and steep to call it a garden really) which was very overgrown. We can now see better what we have got in the way of land.
We bought some kayaks and had fun with those as well as Ewan and Jems paddleboards.
We also met some incredibly nice neighbours, who have taken us under their wings. We have been invited to their houses, had a housewarming drinks party for 26 here and even had our very first supper party. Yesterday Ria went out for the day with 7 other Waipiro Bay housewives and had a great time in Matakana.
We have been busy making plans for the development of Utapati Bach, as it is now called.
We had Ewan and Jem and the kids and puppy to stay a few times and we had Barbara C to stay for a week.
We also spent some time at Ewan and Jem's house to lend them a hand.
We are now off to Nepal for the 6GR 200 year anniversary reunion and a 10 day trek with friends.
