From Nisos Petalis we motored to Sami on Cefalonia. This is a lovely town with a small harbour. We had a surprise visit from a guy in an obscene rib from a superyacht who had seen us come in. It turned out to be Andy, who we had met on our Pacific crossing. he was on a boat called Happy Spirit with John. They ended up in New Zealand for several years where they got to know our youngest daughter Denise. Both Andy and John are now working on super yachts, but still have a house in the Bay of Islands (just like us...)
We had one night in a bay short of Fiscardo where we were pestered by lots of wasps. Then one night in Sivota, where we arrived early to get a good berth. It got manic with Italian boats later in the day. On Monday morning we went looking for the engineer who is hopefully doing a diagnostic check on our engine, but he was away for a few days. we set off for Lefkas where we moored on the town quay. We met up with Sher and Heinz for a meal in town, which was good fun. We opted for the 10 o'clock bridge opening to go to Preveza. We even had half an hour's sail on the other side!
Sea Topaz is now having a rest in Cleopatra Marina while we are having a rest in Salisbury (at home). We have some admin to do for the sale of Elm Farm and Sea Topaz and catch up with our granddaughter. Just two weeks.
