Back in the water

Sea Topaz

The work on Sea Topaz has progressed slowly. They did a great job on painting the hull and we carried on putting more layers on the hull below the water line. we are pleased with the result; she looks beautiful again. We also put all the cables back through the deck and then on to the various instruments.
Then finally the day arrived that we were launched back into the water. There was a bit of a hiccup with the engine and air in the fuel line, but Duncan sorted that and we are now safely moored in our berth.
There is still plenty to do. Halyards and sails to be put back, making sure fridges, toilets, gas cooker, etc all work. The generator is causing a problem, so we do not have a date for departure yet. We extended out visa, so there is no pressure there.
Duncan is still not 100%, but doing a great job given the circumstances. The travel insurance company is giving us a lot of hassle though.
