It  was hard to leave Lankayan Island Resort, but it was time to move on again.
We are now anchored off the Sandakan Yacht Club, not quiet so nice. We caught up with a couple of boats we knew. Yesterday we hired a car and set off with four of us to see the monkey sanctuaries in the area. First the Orang Utangs, a bit disappointing; Loads of people and very few monkeys. After lunch we went to the Proboscis monkey sanctuary; here we saw lots of monkeys. It was fun to watch them eat, play, fight, etc. We also did some sightseeing around town, visited the war memorial park.
We filled up with fuel and water, went to the market and supermarket and are ready to move on again. Next is one or more anchorages around Sipadan Island and from there to Tawau, where we check out from Malaysia.
