St George's Harbour, Bermuda.

Ian and I are slowly getting through the job list and the sailmaker is 75% of the way through fitting the new Furlex. We will speak to the electrician tomorrow and hopefully he will have good news for us. Another potential issue we have is water in the main fuel tanks. Ian dipped them when we arrived here and remarked that we seemed to have used very little fuel, and when we changed the filters (something we have done before each major crossing) there seemed to be a lot of water in them. I suggested to Ian that we check the fuel filler cap and we think that water could get in through a crack in the filler cap. The plan is to open the tanks, pump out any water in them and drag he bottom for any debris. I am still hopeful that we can get away this weekend though.

We have met some interesting folk as usual, in particular two guys who are singlehanders and they sail a 27' and 29' boat respectively. I think they are very brave indeed.

A note for Christian- I think you would have been disappointed with 'For Whom the Bell Tolls'!
