Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Marteens.

Another day, another dollar as the saying goes and today both Ian and Christian have found work on a super-yacht and so seeing as we are in no rush at the moment, we are staying in the marina for another night. Andy and I are now working on either repairing the salt water hand pump in the galley, or I have also bought a complete replacement unit,as Andy felt it would have been very handy especially on the longer crossings we do.

As is so often the case, it is the people we meet as we travel that make a difference in the places we visit. Andy and I and went to our 'local' here in Simpson Bay last night, Lee's Roadside Café and Bar, and Andy started talking to a Canadian couple and they seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing. We had a very pleasant hour with them and so Henry, if you're reading this, many thanks for last night and your good wishes.

We learnt yesterday that Steve, who did the Atlantic crossing with us, has bought a forty four foot X yacht in which he will cross the Atlantic single handed and so we will follow his progress keenly as well as wishing him well with the project.
