Rodney Bay, St Lucia 14 05N, 60 58W. It seems from my previous blog that we have made a detour to the middle of Africa but we are still here in Rodney Bay and I shall try and delete the previous blog.
We are getting hauled out tomorrow until Monday afternoon and Ian and Louise will go and stay in a hotel and continue there sightseeing trips. It looks like our new autopilot ‘front-end’ and control unit are not compatible and that is the probable cause of the drive disengaging constantly. Whilst it will be nice to have it sorted I can’t help feeling that we should not have left Pwllheli without it being properly specified and fitted.
However, the weather here is glorious and the people we are meeting in the marina are friendly enough. We met an American couple and the gentleman seemed to know the Kennedy family very well, seemed to have built America single handedly and then rested on the seventh day!
Still, they were entertaining enough for one night.
