Noon position 20 51N, 26 56W, days run 133, DTG to Cape Verde 262. Last night we were in the middle of a gale and the maximum wind gust we noticed was 55 k, but we still made progress with a little bit of the yankee out and for a while we were making 3 k with just the poles. Despite her idiosyncrasies, Sea Spray is a fine boat.
Today is another day as they say and as I am typing this  the sun is making an appearance, the first in two days which is very welcome as it gives us a chance to dry our kit out and catch up on some sleep. Ian and Andy are busy fishing and we have caught a couple of Mahi mahi but both seem to have been infected by sea lice.
We are slowly making our way to the Cape Verde islands but the forecast for us is not good as the winds are due to come from the south (where we are heading!) probably as a result of the low we have been through. Our ETA is Wednesday/Thursday depending on the winds.
