Noon position 25 50N, 23 37W, day’s run 116.1, DTG 2211.5. We caught a fish! At twilight last night, Andy, Steve and myself were in the boat when we heard Ian shout,”Bo-bo (Andy) get your net!”. This he did and within thirty minutes a Mahi mahi had been landed, despatched, filleted and put in the fridge. We had it for lunch today and very tasty it was to, especially if you’re a part of Andy’s fine dining club.
As for the sailing, its been a frustrating twenty four hours as we had the engine on overnight and this morning we used the cruising chute as a spinnaker which worked very well albeit the wind disappeared completely this afternoon, but this has given us an hour or so with the sails stowed and drifting with the current allowing Ian to go for a swim.
Apart from the lack of wind, all seems well at the moment
Steve sends his best wishes to the OYT (Scotland) refit team!
