Noon position 47 02N, 06 45W. We have been sailing now since 2300 last night under yankee, staysail, main and mizzen making between three and five knots depending on the wind strength. Our noon-to-noon run was 123 miles, averaging just over five knots.
Last night I learnt how to make a Thai green curry and very nice it was to, whilst Ian has started to learn how to play the guitar. Although he has learnt all the chords necessary to play Amazing Grace, it might be some time before they are all in the right order at the right time. This morning we went over the MoB drill again just to make sure we are all familiar with all the roles needed and the ‘MoB’ was recovered in under five minutes which was pleasing.
We have now started doing one man watches between 9pm and 9am, and the nominations for the Sea Spray Golden Blanket award is hotting up, with one person well clear in the ratings!
