Halifax, Nova Scotia.

As I type this, we are getting ready to leave here tomorrow morning to head for Saint John's, Newfoundland, which will take us about six days. Deb has agreed to 'weather-route' us there in preparation for routing us across the Atlantic and so I am looking forward to that (Deb, its not a test!).

The spinnaker pole is repaired and working a lot better than it did before, the engine part we received was not the right one but we are happy to use the original one until we get to St. John's where we will pick up the new part. The electricians are 90% of the way through their work and barring any last minute problems, we will be good to go.

We have been very lucky with the people we have met in Halifax. Aaron in particular has been outstanding in helping us, and we have given and received some mementos of our stay here.

If the boat is behaving itself by the time we get to St John's, we will leave there after two days for the eighteen day trip back to Pwllheli, and after ten months away, both Ian and I are very much looking forward to returning.

Congratulations to Louise who has been given her start date for training in August with B.A.

Anyhow, the next up-date will hopefully be from St John's.

Hopefully!
