Kathryn & Gavin arrived from Malga airport for a long weekend.

After a day spent in Duquesa swimming and chilling out, as Kathryn puts it, we then sailed or rather motor sailed up the coast a further 30 miles to Fuengirola. Not our first choice but the marinas in Marbela were all full and probably very expensive.

Having expected hordes of English tourists we have been half pleased - it appears that the English are just not here this year - one of the English cafe owners said that there are 80% less Brits this year. I guess the strength of the Euro and the fact that it must be much cheaper in Bulgaria etc. etc.-  The beeches are still pretty busy but it seems to be mainly the Spannish themselves.

Tomorrow we start up the coast passed Malga and hopefully to the more attractive Almeria area.
