As planned we took a train to Florence and did a whistle stop tour – clearly one needs to spend more time but it was a good introduction. Little to say but it is clearly a beautiful town with a vast and rich history.

On our return to the boat we had pole position to watch a local rowing race around the harbour and canals.

If the weather is OK it is further north tomorrow on our way to Genoa.
