We were up at first light and spent the next couple of hours getting the boat ready to go and had breakfast.  We raised the anchor and, at 08.00, set off on the remainder of the leg to the Cape Verdes.  We managed to sail for around 3 hours on Friday but then the wind died and the engine went back on.

At midnight the wind picked up and the sails came out until 14.00 on Saturday when we were forced to motor once more.  Since then, the winds have been very light and we have been plodding along, under engine, at around 7.5 knots.

One of the problems about writing a blog whilst at sea is that, very often, nothing happens at all for days.  We complete a log every hour which, apart from logging time, latitude, longitude, distance log, course, wind strength and direction, plus a few other incidentals, also has a comments section for each hour.  Rather than make things up, below is the entire day's log of comments for today, a quiet day.
