After all the trauma with the sails, we eventually arrived at Direction Island, Cocos Keeling at 10am on Monday morning.  The final 24 hours, we were forced to motor as the winds had died, and we were all itching to get to our destination.

The Cocos Keeling Islands are idyllic - palm trees and sandy beaches.  We are anchored off Direction Island which is totally deserted but, bizarrely, has a wifi hotspot on the beach.  The neighbouring 2 islands, Home Island and West Island have 500 and 150 residents respectively.

We have decided to stay an extra day here, partly as we need to do a few jobs, including an extra day on sail repairs.  Also, it is a stunning location and everybody needs a couple of days downtime as the past month has been pretty much non-stop.

I am just about to go for a swim to meet our new ‘neighbours’ - we have been joined by 7 black tip reef sharks who have taken a liking to Seaduced!
