Another day, another 700km of long straight dusty outback road! We saw our first, live wild snake today. John drove round it, why I don't know, and when he looked in the mirror it had reared back and was spitting at the car! I didn't fancy getting too close to take a photo!
Whilst en-route today, we crossed back into Queensland and near civilisation again, although you could have been forgiven for thinking we had gone way back in time where you see where we spent the night - a somewhat ramshackle cabin, which was basically in the pub car park! I spent half the night terrified in case a snake came slithering through the two inch gap under the door! They had recently has a 7ft Python in the bar!!

One of the smaller road trains we have seen, some have four trailers!

The front of our car - there are millions of grasshoppers here, you kill thousands every day just driving along as they sit on the road and fly into passing cars!
