A surfeit of blueberries

Woke up to flat calm, very clear and very cold. Have come to realisation that our winter duvet, NOT even our autumn one is on board. How did that happen? I obviously had no intention of going anywhere remotely cold.
Off in the dinghy to explore Basin Cove, which is almost landlocked - only sensible at slack water as tide pours in and out and shouldn’t be attempted by boat “without local knowledge” Very picturesque but most of waterfront taken up by private houses, only a boat yard providing access ashore.
Decided to check out Dolphin marina and restaurant with its sweeping view of the bay -  budget stretching to lunch!
First had to work up an appetite, so walked along the peninsula, shame no tracks off the road, all shown as private.

Drinks on balcony enjoying the view of Casco Bay.
Met a couple of people recommending the restaurant here and also the one at Yankee Marina, where we will haul out. They had us sussed.

A very clever design. Everyone has a view, including those on the inner raised area of the restaurant.
One strange quirk is the serving of a blueberry muffin with butter. With every dish. Why we asked? Simply a tradition - we took ours home for afternoon tea! Servings so large they always ask, if you want a” box”
