Kittery Point Maine 43:04.9N 070:43.4 W
Motored ALL the way - flat calm, not a puff. 7 hours, 30 miles plus, many avoiding lobster pots.
Did spot a whale, though, languidly swimming in front of the bow. Expect good reviews from S and M on Trip Advisor!

Location, location, location! At entrance to Portsmouth Harbor.

Whaleback Light, Maine!
Had chosen to come here, as a safe mooring in a hurricane hole, when Florence first appeared and threatened to make landfall in this area.
Just arrived, approached by a retired professor and his grandson. Gave us several recommendations, including a restaurant up the river.
Showered and smelling of roses again, set off in the dinghy upriver, our trusty little outboard struggling to fight its way against the current.
Arrived at Warrens Lobster House, delicious seafood and delightful waitress who explained Maine’s licensing laws- not allowed to order a bottle of wine while certain number of units still undrunk on the table. So many different States and so many different rules.
Maine? At that point discovered Kittery Point is in Maine and Portsmouth is New Hampshire! So S and M have made it to Maine, after all.
