We just learned from Barge Linda that from now on we do all the locking ourselves. There are about 50 to Reims.
The next 15 locks, still on river Meuse, will be handled with a remote control.
It’s also time for folding our aft radar mast, to heigh about 5,5 m, the next lock / tunnel, is 4,3 m.
Then we will turn into Canal des Ardennes. They close down 15:th of October. No worries we will make it in time.
Good news, locks are not filled with sea grass at this time of the year (blocking your engine water coolant system).
And the late summer is still here. Shorts and outside shower late this afternoon. Really nice.
