We arrived 15th January and tomorrow, 21, we will start our sail for Barbados.
About 2000 Nm to go. Will take us around 14 days. 
All set and we are ready to go.

Neighbour island Santo Antao in the back ground. 
Caperina full of Grouge (localy made sugar cane rum).
The floating marina bar. Hang out for all sailors.
Mercado. Super expensive and not very much to buy.
We really feel sorry for these nice but poor people. 
Very dry and harsh living conditions on the islands. Lack of water must be a huge problem.

This is a local food speciality. 
 The Cachupa. This is a type of stew, consisting of mashed maize, onions, green bananas, manioc, sweet potatoes, squash, yams, tomatoes, cabbage and possibly bacon...
