Livin' the dream.

Sans Peur
Grete & Fred Vithen

So it's about midday. I'm lying back on the deck, soaking up the Bulgarian sun, head phones on and lost in the world of Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli, singing "Time to say goodbye ". We're taking one hour watches and Grete is at the helm. It's been a slightly stressful morning because we ran aground...It could have been a serious problem.....stuck on a sand bank, but with the skill of the skipper, and this perfectly designed boat, we managed to extricate ourselves and find the correct channel. I was just thinking how lucky I am and how life couldn't get much better, when Fred suddenly appears with a plate of sweet melon, delicious cherries and salty feta cheese....a perfect combination of local produce. I was totally enjoying it, but guiltily thinking, "a glass of wine would be nice, but can I be bothered getting up to fetch it," when a chilled glass of Bulgarian Sav Blanc appears through the hatch.

It looked a lot better than this....this is just the leftovers.
