Title: Tropical storm

The reason you leave Tonga and other beautiful islands closer to the equator at this time of the year is the danger of tropical storms.
They occur when the water temperature gets higher (25-26 degrees).
Right now there is a hurricane that came near Vava'u where we were just a couple of months ago, it is moving south towards
Hapa'i our favorite spot in the Pacific. Thinking of the people that live there in very simple houses is terrible.
Wind forces around 250 km/hour are devastating, especially for a community that has no shelter.
The islands are low and the seas can get outrageous.
We are glad we took the decision to move down. There are sailors that stay up there meaning the risk is so low. But it would have been a nightmare
to live through it. And this one will most probably destroy the boats, even in sheltered locations.
