Still in Haiti

The wind, of course, is in the wrong direction for leaving, so we went on a motorbike tour. The guide had no front brake, but our bike had a gear set up Murray had never used in 37 years of motorcycling. Obviously helmets and insurance are unheard of. The bike was a road bike, which was OK as we were staying on the 'roads' – this is not an 'off road' picture.

Maps.me showed a Voodoo temple so we asked our guide if he could take us there.
At first he was adamant that the map was wrong and took us to two other temples. But then he asked directions from man carrying a trussed but strangely relaxed cockerel on his shoulder and we made our way to the marked temple. It was bigger and had several large flags flying, yet our guide who has grown up here didn't know of it?

The day was great for people watching; life is very similar here to the Tongans. Fields are ploughed by oxen, transport was motorbike or donkey with sort of basket seats (most strange). All the females had hard work, i.e. carrying water; with washing hung out on cactus hedges.

Due to the photo difficulties, these are stills from the gopro video.
