Hi All we had a great day yesterday diving with two dives and the best being over the wreck of the Royal Mail Steamer - The Rhone which was sunk during a hurricane which hit the islands in October 1867. Under the command of captain Robet Wooley (said to be a very close friend of Queen Victoria!), the Rhone was at anchor just off one of the islands when the wind picked up and she was forced onto rocks, heeled over and broke in two taking most of her company with her.

the wreck is in two distint parts and we dived the stern, you could still see part of the black and white chequered dance floor, intact port holes and the massive steel girders.see phots of Sue and Declan during the dives
