Had a very benign trip over, managed to catch our first edible fish - a Mahi Mahi (also called Dolphin fish because of its large head), about 4 foot in length and a really beautiful green/yellow colour when it came out of the water but it soon faded once it was dead.

Declan gutted and filleted it and we had it pan fried for dinner (sausage casserole looked far less appealing!)

Arrived in Bonaire yesterday midday. Really interesting place, mixture of Caribbean and European. Dutch origin so very popular with Dutch tourists. Diving sites everywhere, the thing to do is hire bottles and just dive off the beach.

Unfortunately the mooring buoy that we are on is only meant for boats up to 55 feet (we are 57.5 feet), we managed to squeeze 2 nights out of them but tomorrow we have to leave so we are going over to Curacao for a few days to explore, coming back to a berth in the marina in Bonaire on 30th Jan to dive for a week.
