Gorgeous weather today, very hot!  Ben went ashore for bread and croissants for breakfast.

Jeanneau organised for a refrigeration expert (Patrice) from Marin to come out to the yacht in the morning to examine the faulty ice maker.  He confirmed that the electrical connections in the ice dispensing unit had become corroded due to water ingress.  Easy to fix but spare parts are required under warranty. Slightly frustrating as I diagnosed the exact problem weeks ago and asked our local agent to obtain the necessary parts but to no avail thus far.  Yes its a real world problem but we have certainly missed our ice maker which has been broken for weeks!

We had a bit of a cleaning session inside and out as with all the sailing in strong winds she was getting rather salty!  The freshwater deck-wash works very well and wiping down with the combination of white vinegar and water takes off the salt easily.  Ben also washed down the RIB.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing and swimming.  Nina baked some chocolate chip cookies.

Today was the VE celebration day, a national holiday in France.  Many places were closed but we managed to find a little pizza place on the sea front close to the dinghy dock. French pizza was excellent!
