Carl and Julia arrived at Safena for breakfast and induction at 0800.  As non-sailors we went through a few basic domestic requirements, safety procedures, orientation etc. with them.

We then slipped the lines and headed out into the Jolly Harbour anchorage just opposite Cove beach and dropped the hook.  We decided to spend a day and night here to allow them to become more familiar with the yacht.

It was an absolutely beautiful day. We swam off the bathing platform around the yacht in the amazing turquoise water.  We took the RIB to the beach, anchored off and swam to the beach.  We then took the RIB on a small trip round the corner through “Five Islands” to Hermitage Bay.

At sundowners Carl and Julia kindly presented us with the most wonderful gifts - a beautiful scarf for Nina, an absolutely incredible hip flask engraved with the Safena logo for me (Mike clearly had a hand in this!) plus a very special bottle of Cadenhead’s cask strength rum (60%) - Thank you C & J!

After sundowners aboard we headed back into the marina for another fine meal at Akropolis.

All in all it was a great day and a wonderful start for our guests!

Tomorrow - Barbuda!!!
