Distance to home:  3036 miles

Distance run today:  65 miles

Course “ At anchor”

Sadie is anchored about 100m from the Customs house in St Georges Harbour, Bermuda.

The part that brought us here is in the hands of a local rigger and we are collecting it late this afternoon.

We’d rather be at sea (honest !), but if you have to put in somewhere for repairs then we recommend Bermuda.

We are off again on Sunday morning and normal service will be resumed.

And well done to Southend United.  Good luck against against Wycombe  next week.   Jez looking forward (I think) to going ashore later for wifi and Ipswich / Norwich result.

Today’s reponses

Dave S – Missed the triangle but magnetic deviation is 14 degrees so the place is easy to miss.  But not for a boat with as many gps’s as we carry.

Em – OK, Bermuda = bigger diamond.  Thought I’d best put it in writing.

Jason – Thanks for weather, format perfect but we have local sources so start again in a few days.  Anchorage free, avoiding marina !  But we will have to pay 20 cents a gallon for water when we top of the tanks.

Richard S – thanks for the vhf physics update.  We can confirm the 100’s of miles bit.  Sailing to windward on was no fun but all downhill from here and crew smiling.

Sam C – Work and busy are words that I’m not thinking about for a month or so but I hope you are enjoying it.

Leatherman always with me and used every day.  Always a demand for pliers, knife and screwdriver on a boat.  Not for Dorado though, bigger knife required.  Great choice, thanks to all

Gran – Sports updates really welcome, thanks.

Bye for now
