Hi all.

Most important details first.  The bread is in the oven and there is Coq au Vin in the pressure cooker, so all's well on the good ship Sadie.

First watches kicked in at 10 o'clock last night with 3, 2 hour spells for each of us in the cockpit. The weather was good to us and we sped through the night under clear skys at about 6 knots in the right general direction.

For the sailors out there, we have spent the day beating into a westerly which wasn't on the plan but we are heading southwest for the Tropic of Cancer at about 23 degrees North / 30 degrees west to pick up the Trades (we will let you know when the butter melts and we can turn right !)

The rods have been out but even the "guaranteed to catch tuna" lure that Tim bought in Fuerteventura and the one from Dave Smart with a similar guarantee have failed us.  The weather has got up a bit and we have given up on tuna for today.

Tim has been the message king today (Shout out to Barry) after Jez hogged it last night with reports in from his family (and he still hopes that numbers 1 to 3 are behaving themselves ) - Ricky has been too busy with learning to sail for messages given that this is only his second boat trip.

It's been tee shirt and shorts here all day so I hope that the winter weather is holding off back home.
