And we return,

Firstly apologies for the confusion in days, we have reset and today is definitely day 17.

We left Funchal, Madeira at 1300 today BST in fact as we found out we have been living an hour a head unnecessarily all week, never mind.

We have stocked up on food, water and diesel before leaving and caught up on some sleep since we arrived on Saturday.

As we come clear of the headland, which was hiding the prevailing winds we find our selves heeling hard with one reef in the main and half headsail up, the wind off our port bow ploughing through the waves at a good 6 knots, and we're heading right for our final destination, Lanzerote!

Just as I am writing this we have had our first bite on one of the new lures Tim bought, they are specifically aimed at catching tuna, we were caught slightly off guard as we were just settling down to sailing with a piece of melon, this one got away as it wasn't full hooked on, luckily we still have the lure though, so its straight back out for another go.

While we have been in port we have treated our selves to the second portion of our Dorado, which was still very tasty cooked by Angus with rice, peas and a cheesy leek sauce. We also finished up the last of the chicken curry.

We look forward to getting messages from you all throughout the next leg of our journey and wish you all a good week at work.

All the best
