Most of our work on RT is over, we have done some of the provisioning and are waiting for the weather to sort itself out. For last 36 hours the wind has been up to 37kns well into force 8 and we have been straining at the moorings. It should abate later today and the forecast for tomorrow is getting calmer. Based on this it is likely that we will make a move tomorrow. Our plan is to head for Grenada in the Caribbean, a distance of approx 2150 miles. We have been averaging over 100 miles per day so the maths is simple but there are no easy answers as to when we will arrive. The weather and a problem with the boat could turn this on its head.

You could take a punt on how long it will take. Profits to a charity of your choice. We would suggest RNLI but I'm afraid they won't be around to help us in this instance.

Its still Carnival in Mindelo, lots of noise and people dancing in the streets. We have spent the last couple of evenings in the Club Nautico, sounds grand but not. Great local music, food and atmosphere. It pays not to drink too much as negotiating the pontoons back to RT at night in these windy conditions is not without perils.

We took a tour of Mindelo yesterday in the back of a beat up pickup. We do this in style here. It looks the same pick up for further travels today.
