The Travels of Running Tide

We set off a day later than expected to Carriacou. This was an upwind passage and even starting at 09 00hrs we still managed to finish after dark creeping in slowly until we met other moored yachts. We stopped there quite a way out from the shore line. Today Tuesday we have moved a little closer and are planning to go ashore and do the grand tour of the island. We have hired a taxi for this excursion.

The other day we had problems with the dinghy. The front section kept deflating and this was identified as a leak around the pressure relief valve. Super glue and araldite seemed to have stemmed the flow and we are back in business on that front. The next problem was the little petrol generator that we took out with us. Every time we started the battery charger the thing tripped.  Clearly an overload  on start up, I think we have sorted this with a kind of staged start routine, well I hope we have, as all the problem of getting it out there in my checked in baggage will be to nothing.
