Long nights planned

Good training for this epic has been the broken nights sleep with wakeful considerations of our environement and conditions we are to endure.. But by comparison to the pending reality, it is relatively simple to operate a normal days acitvities without the sleepless nights having too much of an effect. I think our wives, families and even our work colleagues might say otherwise! Hopefully, it hasn't been that obvious? Life without such a challenge is already seeming far from ..........?

We will have to keep the routine of broken nights sleep for many days in a boat 23' long...

We have now equipped ourselves with a route to follow.  In effect we will head predominanlty west with a bit of south chucked in for good measure.. currently sitting at approx' 28 degrees north and 17.5 degrees west.  Antigua is our ultimate focus with alot of mini goals (not islands) in between. We have allowed approx'  60 miles above and below our course to steer to allow for leeway or drift...

Once again the weather and the seas will have their say in what course we will track and how many nights we will have to endure....

Thinking of you all back at home and thanks for all the messages of support.. keep them coming

One more thing, we have been working on the boat in the marina on a daily basis and already terra firma has a little wobble.. what will it be like after many days at sea???
