It is not often you go to a foreign country needing to source, albeit relatively simple, technical peices of equipment... I must confess i am surprised how much preparation we have had to underake whilst here and the list simply does not get any shorter. In some ways this may also be reassuring as I am beginning to understand I dont think you could ever be over prepared for the challenge we have set. The Island of La Gomera, although very pleasant is still a rock in the Atlantic with a relatively small population and few of the locals seem to speak English (not what we english are used to). Now, imagine going into the local hardware store and hoping to get some 'D' rings, a 12 volt reversable socket, 12mm o/d water pipe..etc Not a cat in hells chance.... still no body said it was gonna be easy.. we like all your messages. If you don'tget a personal reply please dont be upset Lastly Richard is upset that he didn't get air time about being covered in black anti fouling. well done for doing a sterling and hazard to health job.
