A quick update from the sunny Humber

Yes, it’s true! The sun does shine near Hull.  I arrived here first thing this morning after what seemed like a long passage from Lowestoft, but to be rewarded with a lovely sunrise this morning (see photo) as I was approaching the Humber.  We (ie Rosinis and me) had a great sail to start with after leaving Lowestoft, but as the day went on the wind dropped and we did too much motoring all through the night, which is frustrating. Unfortunately there’s really nowhere to stop for a yacht of our draft between Lowestoft and the Humber, so here we are.  I’ve spent the day at anchor just inside Spurn Head (see second photo), getting some sleep ready for an evening departure for Whitby.
