Friday......must be fish day! Yesterday we were in contact with Charlie on a big boat with a blue spinnaker who said he had caught 3 Maui Maui. George I/C fishing said he must be lying as we had seen nothing but lo and behold on our captains line the reel ran out. Although the captain was asleep at the time he is taking all the kudos for this. A smallish Maui Maui was landed and excellent filleting job was carried out by George. I wonder if the saloon will ever not smell fishy again. Only joking Val.so the byline for this blog was going to be " the old man and the sea"
However today ,our George on his line caught another twice the size so honours even!
Cerviche for supper followed by pan fried fillets...oh how I am missing my fennel seeds.
This is not before time as our fresh meat Is virtually finished.
Sail without engine all day yesterday , not a very good average but winds up a bit today and trades forecast so hopefully we can improve on this?
Time to start baking bread so more news of fresh disaster tomorrow.
Aye Aye, Bosuns mate
