0930 hours and the good ship Katika leaves Sao Vincente bound for St Lucia.it is a beautiful morning with light winds as forecast .Although we arrived yesterday in time to fuel up we were too late to complete the formalities so a decision was made to "hit" the town! After some clothes washing....not before time George......and a few beers the Captain retired to bed whilst the crew went out for some indiscriminate rollicking.More of this later.
It was lovely to speak to our loved ones but internet connection hopeless.We all hoped for a really good nights sleep but the unusual boat movements,the creaking and groaning of the mooring ropes,weird clicks and clunks as well as the incessant barking of the shore dogs meant we all woke early.....perhaps we were all keen to get going
Time now for a full fry up to fortify us for the voyage ahead...2,100 miles or there abouts to go.
