We’re all indulging in the daily workouts featuring a combination of abs, TRX, Joe Wicks and yoga, led by Neil - just look at the concentration on his face in this photo! After all the wonderful food cooked by Rose, we need to be doing this.

Today Moose headed south and sometimes a little bit east as well, as a number of you pointed out, and no we’re not lost and nor has our compass broken, we’re just seeking the trade winds further south. The weather and wind hasn’t been kind to the ARC fleet in the first five days, with lots of wind on our nose, so progress has been slow.

But to keep us entertained, we’ve had a few incidences, some good, some not so good. It started off with a fulmar or albatross (answers on a postcard) taking a shine to one of our fishing lures, trailing behind the boat

But don’t worry, it has a happy ending. After reeling the bird in, it stayed with us for a couple of hours (resting from its ordeal), pooped on the deck (that’s where it comes from) and then flew off. Phew.

And while this was happening, we caught and landed our first fish! Sadly it was only a baby Mahe Mahe, so we put it straight back. We will catch something to eat soon, rest assured, fingers crossed.
